Hi everyone here is the download link for vista DS please note that the program does not come with a virtural hard drive so if you want it to work please download a program called Dummy file creator and create the disk and name it 00_disk1.img and place it into the DSvista folder thanks!

ok, uh, i have ds-x and it's not working for me. I made a folder names vistaDS, and put the file in it, along with the file you said to create with dummy file creaor, and nothing, does the size of the file created matter? If so, please let me know how big, and btw, i can't run it from apps, so i ran it through moonshell. thanks
Yes There is a certain file size you need create it to be 5 GB yes I know its alot but it runs so many apps like internet explorer msn messengenger Pinball Windows media player. And so basicly the file thats 4 mega bytes extracts all the program to the img file. Then restart the DS (it will tell you to) and run ds vista again and it will boot it will probrobly take 2 mins to load though.

yea, i have ds-x and i have the 4gb version, so how will this work? Could you maybe narrow down the features, like remove pinball or other unnessesary programs so it can run without me buying a new card, or maybe there's another solution. thanks.

Look guys all im telling you is that vista DS needs to extradt all of the files to the 5 GB image file. Now the DS needs to be able to boot the program and the required flash cards are
-R4DS (tested)
-DS-X (boots but with errors)
-MMD (will not load)
-Supercard (loads but freezes)
Also when you extract all the vista system files it will take about 7 mins to extract the files from the Vista.nds to the img file.

damn alex you blew it. R4 ds does not exceed 4 GB. So that was a big lie. Next the only things that go over 5 GB are usually Compact Flash carts. So dont give us this bull crap. Either show us a real video. Instead of that stupid video that just swiches pictures. Come on guys those same pics are on his pictures of vistaDS.

how can you get 5gb on a ds card? the microsd's limit to 2gb and the R4 has a max of 4gb, so how do you do it?

Im trying to load it on R4 but it loads realy slow and stop at 45 percent or something.
I dont think this is real. You could of just made the file and set it so it loads slowly so it seems big but the file is only 4 mb. I dont think it really works.

I agree and this is what most people are thinking IT IS A FAKE because they cannot get it to work or ever seen it working the thing about youtube is that people think Xp DS you can now get vista on your ds and all that stuff they all think it is F.A.K.E. FAKE! they think you might be useing Moonshell and viewing pictures.

This thread is soo, outdated but in anyone runs into this section, im making a Vista DS program so far I got into the cursor moving with the D-Pad. The only best OS outhere is WintenDoS unless someone ports the WintenDos and changes the files to work and look like vista.
he probably used an emulator to run it.
